What is The Block?

The Block is a set of unique and exciting two-day conferences located in Pikeville, KY established to spiritually equip and educate those who attend.

Who are you trying to reach?

While there is no definite limit to our scope, The Block will primarily focus on students in eastern Kentucky and bordering states.

What ages can attend?

The Student Conference is open to any student entering the 6th grade through those entering their freshman year of college. If you are a student entering the 5th grade or below, check out The Block’s Kids Conference.

How does it work?

Day 1: Students will arrive at The Block and will experience an energetic worship service followed by our primary speaker for the conference. Additionally, students will spend time in their family (small group) session and be introduced to the Day 2 workshop options. Following Day 1 Family Time, students will attend a concert led by a popular contemporary Christian artist.

Day 2: Students will attend a morning worship service followed by their selected workshop(s). The primary speaker will follow the workshop session to wrap up the weekend theme. The conference will then conclude with a community Block Party where students can fellowship and serve an underprivileged area in our community.

Who will be there?

Artists: Over the years our host, Cornerstone Christian Church, has worked with numerous artists such as Mark Schultz, Jason Gray, Chris August, Lauren Daigle, and many others. Our goal is to bring new and exciting artists that will create a worship experience relevant and appropriate to each age focusing on Christ.

Speakers: The Block will be working powerful and effective Christian speakers from various universities, organizations, and other ministries to lead relevant and impactful workshops in addition to providing a primary conference speaker.

What are the dates?

Tentatively the dates for The Block Children Conference is July 21st & 22nd followed by our Student Conference 2017 on August 11th & 12th.

Is there a cost to attend?

At this time, The Block comes at no cost to the student. However, artist merchandise and other available resources may be available for student purchase.
